What is
RIM (Records & Information Management)?
Information is the life-blood of an organization, regardless of size or industry.  Today's RIM professionals need to posses up-to-the minute knowledge and tools in order to protect & manage their organizations most vital assets in our ever-changing world. 

Traditional paper documents are familiar to many, but the majority of our information is created in the electronic or digital world today.  E-mail, Instant Messages(IM), application data, e-commerce data from the web, etc.  RIM is the proper management of this information from receipt/creation and distribution, through retention, protection, and disposition.  This is also sometimes referred to as ILM, or information lifecycle management.
